Venetian bacon and eggs

Today I told my chef 

lover that I 

will make carbonara 

Three egg yolks per person

he said

plump orange circles 

delicate, glistening 

bursting

lots of pecorino

50g of guanciale but I

used bacon instead

then pepper so I guess there are 

three animals in this dish

four if you count the bee that 

pollinated the pepper

and the pasta grain

five if you count the

human eater six if you count 

the mouse that traversed my

floor the other day and may have shed

a hair or two in 

the pasta shelf but I failed

the yolks

pan was too hot

cooked the sauce too 

much my flatmate

she liked it though

I know carbonara 

is not Venetian, but my 

lover is

I want him

to make

me one.
